Meditation is something I’ve known about for a long time but never fully committed to. Lately, though, I’ve been feeling the need to slow down and actually check in with myself. My mind is loud — constant thoughts, stress, and overthinking — and meditation feels like a way to create some space in the noise.
I’m brand new to this. Some days my mind feels calm, other days it won’t stop racing. But I’m learning that meditation isn’t about clearing your thoughts — it’s about noticing them without judgment. Even a few minutes of breathing or a guided session helps me feel more grounded.
I want to learn more about different meditation styles, how mindfulness fits into everyday life, and how it can support my mental health long-term. Alongside yoga and cannabis, meditation feels like another tool I can use intentionally, not as an escape, but as a way to understand myself better.
This is just the beginning. I’m learning as I go, taking it one breath at a time — and that feels like progress.
